Co-Founder/President of BLD PWR, a dedicated son, brother, and godfather, Kendrick most recently portrayed music legend Quincy Jones in the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, and stars as Malcolm X in the political thriller Killing Castro, premiering at the 2026 Tribeca Festival alongside Al Pacino, Diego Boneta, and Nicole Beharie. He is also known for his work in Vampire Diaries (CW), How to Get Away with Murder (ABC), the critically acclaimed Miss Juneteenth, The Flash (CW), Boots Riley's I'm a Virgo, and as Nathan in HBO's critically acclaimed, Emmy-nominated Insecure.

He is also well known as an unapologetic activist focused on mental health, state violence, gender and sexual liberation, all rooted in radical Black liberation. Growing up in Houston and Mo City, Texas, Kendrick gravitated to the arts and learned the filmmaking landscape in Texas and New Orleans. He grew up in an exciting time when Austin was the center of independent filmmaking and New Orleans was expanding its tax incentives. There were huge blocks for marginalized people and local people who couldn't afford to participate in this economy.

Kendrick was inspired to change that and set out to bring Houston to Hollywood and take those lessons learned to build a new Hollywood in Houston.

He co-founded BLD PWR to help organize Hollywood and utilize Hollywood's resources and reach to help shift culture toward individual and collective care and freedom.
